You don’t need coding to become a UI/UX designer. However, basic understanding of HTML, CSS, and front-end behavior can improve communication with developers and help design more realistic solutions. The core focus remains research, user flows, and interaction design.

Coding isn’t mandatory, but knowing how interfaces are built helps you make better decisions. Even simple prototyping knowledge can give you an edge. Many successful designers never write production code - they just understand the constraints.
